The organisation of the traditional wake can often be a real headache for families. We have over the last 25 years developed a catering department. We produce food which normally ranges from a buffet lunch or afternoon tea both of which include homemade cakes and tea and coffee to accompany sandwiches and finger food.
Having produced the food we then send our staff to set up and serve the food and drink. Today sometimes this will include wine and/or beers and spirits. Our staff attend the venue chosen by the family, be it their own home or a hall or other venue. We bring all the table linen, and fine bone china crockery. At the end of the reception the staff clear away and clean up, so you have nothing to do.
We can also liaise with hotels and restaurants if a family should wish to have the function in one of these venues, or perhaps in local golf clubs, if the deceased was a member.
